We encourage delegates with disabilities to participate in the programme and social events. Please contact cmip26@wcrp-cmip.org to discuss accommodations for any special needs. If you have dietary preferences, please describe those on the space provided on the registration form when you register
In March, Kyoto transitions into spring, but mornings and evenings remain cool, and occasional rain is common. The average minimum temperature is 3°C and the average maximum temperature is 15°C with 10-11 rainy days in the month.
Yes, there will be photographs and videos taken throughout the workshop and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the CMIP website and on social media. If you do not want your photograph or video taken, or used, please notify the CMIP IPO onsite at your earliest convenience.
Yes! The CMIP Community Workshop 2026 will support hybrid attendance for a reduced registration fee.
Yes, we will have limited space in a cloakroom at the venue available all day on Monday 9 March, Tuesday 10 March in the morning, all day on Thursday 12 March, and Friday 13 March in the morning.

Abstracts
The deadline for abstract submission is 12:00 UTC, 13 August 2025.
We will send out abstract decisions in the week of the 18th September 2025.
Registration and Accommodation
Name badges will be given to all delegates on on-site registration. On-site registration will be available on Sunday afternoon (time to be confirmed) and Monday morning (time to be confirmed).
We ask that you always wear your badge, including when attending social functions.
Workshop attendees are welcome to book any accommodation in Kyoto. There are a wide range of hotels, ryokans (traditional inns), and guesthouses are available in Kyoto.
If you want to stay close to the venue, we recommend booking into The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike. We have secured a fixed rate for workshop attendees. See our accommodation webpage for more details.
