Getting From Kansai International Airport (Osaka) to Kyoto
Travel from Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kyoto Station on the Express Haruka train in 80 minutes.
From Haneda Airport (Tokyo) to Kyoto
Step 1: Haneda Airport → Shinagawa Station
At Haneda Airport:
- Follow signs for the Keikyu Line (京急線).
- Take a Keikyu Airport Line train to Shinagawa Station.
- Travel time: ~15-20 minutes
- Cost: ~¥330. Tickets can be bought at ticket machines with cash or card or with an IC card.
Trains run every few minutes.
Step 2: Shinagawa → Kyoto (Shinkansen)
At Shinagawa:
- Upon arriving at Shinagawa Station, you’ll find yourself on the Keikyu Line area, so you’ll need to make your way to the Konan Exit, where the Shinkansen platforms are located. It’s a few-minutes walk.
- Follow signs for the Shinkansen (bullet train).
- Buy a ticket at a ticket machine or JR counter.
- You may need to purchase an ‘Oversize Baggage’ seat.
- Take the Tokaido Shinkansen (the Nozomi is the fastest).
Arrive at:
- Kyoto Station
Travel time: ~2 hours 15 minutes.
Cost: ¥11,000–16,000

From Narita Airport (Tokyo) to Kyoto
Step 1: Narita Airport → Shinagawa Station
At Narita Airport:
- Head to the JR East Travel Service Center or ticket office in Terminal 1 or 2 to purchase a Narita Express (N’EX) ticket to Shinagawa Station (follow signs for ‘Trains’ or ‘JR trains’).
- Take the Narita Express (N’EX) directly to Shinagawa Station. Trains depart every 30-60 minutes.
- Travel time: ~1 hour 10 minutes
- Cost: ~¥3,000
Step 2: Shinagawa → Kyoto (Shinkansen)
At Shinagawa:
- Follow signs for the Shinkansen (bullet train).
- Buy a ticket at a ticket machine or JR counter. You can also purchase tickets in advance.
- You may need to purchase an ‘Oversize Baggage’ seat.
- Take the Tokaido Shinkansen (the Nozomi is the fastest).
Arrive at:
- Kyoto Station
Travel time: ~2 hours 15 minutes.
Cost: ¥11,000–16,000
From Kyoto Station to ICC Kyoto
Take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station to Kokusaikaikan Station in 20 minutes.

Subway
The ICC Kyoto is a 5-minute walk from Kokusaikaikan Station on the Karasuma Subway Line.
Exit the ticket gate and walk through the underground passage to Exit 4-2.
The covered walkway from Exit 4-2 will guide you to our front entrance, keeping you dry on rainy days.
Bus
The ICC Kyoto is a 5-minute walk from the Kokusaikaikan-eki-mae bus stop on the Kyoto City Bus and Kyoto Bus lines.
